At age of 29, I am deeply thinking about buying a home. I think apartment with 2 bedroom should be sufficient, which if it also has an extra small room (2+1) then I can setup a work station at home, which I will buy a beautiful desk and a comfortable chair. I will decorate my workspace with LED, which should make it lovely and cozy. I would also add a nice minimal massage chair where I can relax from time to time. The apartment should always clean and smell good with automated vacuum cleaner robot and aroma diffuser. The home should be smart where I can monitor and control lights around the house using just my phone. I should also be able to control the safety and security of my house with multiple in door camera,..
Anyways, I already have a studio like that in Hanoi. But the reason I left that home because I see little to no opportunity in Hanoi. If I stay there, I will not have any job to do. I mean even if they do, they will not as interesting as in HCMC. I have been contracted with hcmc site for 5 years (starting in 2020). It seems like I dont have much of a relationship with Fsoft hanoi. Therefore I get to know more about my company in saigon. I mean saigon is so welcoming me. It is like a have a “mom” that i always neglected or not fully appreciated. This is a difficult choice for me: should I stay in comfy house in Hanoi with friends and parents and all those familiarities, or should I go to hcmc to build my career path and serve for the greater good. Moreover, the apartment price in D9 is low enough for me to get a large 2 bedroom apartment, in Hanoi i only live in a studio, it is especially cramped and I dislike it. For long stay I might feel less comfortable. I want a large home 70 meters squares at least.
But I feel little to no hope making connections and build relationship, especially having a girl friend here. But hey, it is likely my internal issue. In Hanoi I was also having a really difficult time to build relationship. So I doubt that only when I am willing to change then probably I can feel more connected.
But anyways, another thing I wish Hcmc can do better is infrastructure. I just wish hcmc will become the largest financial capital and economic hub in SEA and in Asia, just like Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore, Hongkong. What i mean that: large highspeed road and railway, plenty of sky scrapers and enough of high-end quality apartments buildings for everybody to live in. Of course, the challenge is Hcmc need to be a place where all talents, not just around Vietnam, but also the whole world.
By the time Thu Duc become a super city, my life could already turn out to be better or worse. The worst scenario is I was fired from FPT and force to find a new company, then all of a sudden living in D9 is not the best option anymore. Then Hanoi or D7 eventually a better choice.
Finance and the numbers associate is really dictate the next move now. We want to settle down but we also must take risk.
