I do watch a lot of YouTube videos seeing people eating the foods in their days, and most of them are unhealthy food. Of course, it does not motivate me to eat that kind of food because I know that I will feel shit about myself right after I have the second bite. Do you know why? Because of the unpreventable calories and bad cholesterol. But for sure, I still watch it for entertainment purposes, I can feel how tasty it is, because most of the food they eat, like burgers, pizzas, French fries, and fried chicken, I have all gone through. I used to gain 20KG in 2 years by just eating that kind of food weekly or even sometimes, daily.
Here are some of my recent favorite content creators about eating unhealthy food so far

These folks are all promoting fast food and I think that’s good because it looks just so tasty to eat unhealthy food, and I’m not being sarcastic here, I’m being brutally honest. It’s true that food with high-calorie content, high in fat sugar, and sodium are so addictive and tasty. North American fast-food chains are the best kind of restaurants in the world in terms of revenue and popularity. Even huge cultural hubs like Chinese and Indian or Thai cuisine cannot compete with fast food chains from the United States. Can you tell me any food corporation in any country in this world that can compete with McDonald’s?
And speaking about healthy foods, I can only see Japanese cuisine is the healthiest option, because the proportion of their meal is kind of small and the majority part of their menu is raw food, which is less likely to be processed with oil, I mean there is such thing like Tonkatsu and Ramen, that kind of food definitely calories dense, but if you think about any kind of Sushi where Japanese are known for, it’s definitely healthy. It’s definitely healthier than Banh Mi or Pho, don’t believe me? Look for the average calories of those foods.
At the end of the day, I’m saying that we can keep watching food reviews on the Internet, it doesn’t have any harm at all and we don’t have to be against it, I mean I used to think that if you watch something or consume some kind of information a lot, I might actually do it. It’s called the Law of Attraction. Like if I’m thinking about buying something a lot and watch and read a lot about it, I might actually buy it some days. But in fact, it does not always work like that, it’s really about how truly you feel about the matter, if you 100% believe in it, then you will take action about it. And if you do not have 100% belief, like if you think fast food is bad for you and you should never eat it, then watching a million shorts about people eating fast food won’t make you become a fast food consumer.
Anyways, switching to the second topic, which is dry-fasting. Recently I also looked at dry fasting, from Dr. Eric Berg, this is one of the YouTube videos he’s speaking about it
For my whole life, I have believed in intermittent fasting, but I also believe in the danger of dehydration, especially when you do workout often. And whoever spends hours under the sun for Tennis or biking like me, I feel like without proper hydration I might get sick and dangerously ill with headaches, etc. So people who are Muslim, have an event called Ramadan, this event is notably healthy because people are going to fast for the whole month. This is amazing, I have never seen such a healthy religious activity, even Buddhism cannot compete with that in terms of healthiness, you see, I don’t trust vegans, I don’t think eating only plants is good for you. Human is naturally an omnivores kind of animal. We need both plants and meats to survive and stay healthy. In fact, meat provides so many health benefits it’s a great source and the most efficient source of protein and minerals, and humans are structured with proteins, it’s in most of our muscle cells. I know that Buddhism are promoting becoming vegetarian since one of its core principles is not to kill animals. I feel like I enjoy the principle of Islam more since I do agree with them that, fasting is good, and they have principles in what to eat, any kind of food that is “Haram” is not worth eating. Like Pork and alcohol, and you know what? I do eat pork, it’s one important part of Vietnamese cuisine, but the fact that it does have more chance of infection and can be harmful to human health. There is a thing in pork called “pork fluke”, which I was obsessing with since childhood. And yes, pork is indeed dirty, since they live in their poops and eat any kind of food including human meat (there is news once told that hungry pigs eat their owner’s flesh alive, this was crazy), but honestly speaking, I’m still going to eat pork, it’s just that I don’t eat it as often anymore, I would prioritize chicken. I mean beef is good too but I feel like it has too much blood in it, since it’s dark meat. And I hate animal blood. As for fish, I don’t like fish that much because fish is stinky in smell, I mean I would eat another kind of seafood and any fish that live in the ocean than the river. For birds, no, birds are not efficient sources of protein since they only have bones and no meat, and the taste is weird too, it tastes like blood as well. So, chicken might be the best source, but honestly, chicken breasts taste like cardboard, and chicken thighs are full of bad cholesterol. You know what, I might just drink whey and eat eggs.
Anyway, the second thing about “Haram” foods that I agree with is not drinking alcohol. I have been against it since childhood, I mean I tried to addicted to alcohol like drinking cocktails and beers, but two things I don’t like about it: first, it tastes really bad, and even with the best cocktails tried I still feel the taste is so bitter, also I tried to have some fun with cocktails, like dancing with the live music and even that, I like the DJ and their talents but I still don’t like the drinks. Secondly, I have had bad headaches multiple times and it’s painful. The last reason why I’m against alcohol consumption is it’s obviously bad for your health, and do multiple research on it, it’s “weakens heart muscles, which can affect the lungs, liver, brain and other body systems, and also cause heart failure”. OK, you see that? anything that is bad for your heart and cardiovascular like obesity alcohol and smoking, I will always be against that. I see people dying from heart diseases and strokes, I see that in real life one of my very close friends in my family died from a stroke. He used to be a happy person until we got a stroke and we can never understand a single word that he was speaking. I also observed my classmates, my friend’s dad died early and I saw my friends in deep pain and tears. I also observing even my own dad is suffering from headaches and cardiovascular problems, my grandfather also died from a stroke. You can see how I hate bad health and any cardiovascular diseases so bad? Because it was a pain in life and it is still obsessed with me until now. I know it’s dramatic in how I describe my observation and thought process, but I do agree with Haram’s principles one kind or another, please do fasting often, lose your belly fat, and not consume unhealthy food like fast food or alcohol or smoking often. We may die from accidents but for what we can proactively control, which is your body weight and food you consume, please act on it and stay healthy.
Back to the dry fasting method, I’m not yet have a conclusion about it, but I still believe that we need to drink water often still, in most of the research I have done so far, water is so important to keep your body functioning correctly, and effectively. One of the issues with lacking water or dehydration is that it may cause kidney failure, take a look at a blog post from WebMD: https://www.webmd.com/diet/is-dry-fasting-safe. In the end, I agree with intermittent fasting and have 100% belief in it, but for dry fasting, I think we must do careful research on it. I believe in Dr Eric Berg in most of his videos and research, but for the dry fasting where he supports it, I might be quite selective about his opinions. That is, stay safe and healthy.
