I’m writing this blog, right now, right outside of A&W, in front of their store. I’m staying outside because I came early, it was supposed to be open at 7 AM and I’ve already been here at 6.30 AM. Therefore I decided to pull out my laptop and turn on my 4G hotspot for internet connectivity and start writing this blog. I want to keep my habit of writing at least once a week. You know, just a way to reflect my own mind. I could write things in Vietnamese, I actually, most of the time write my thoughts in Vietnamese, because it’s my mother language, but on some occasions, I do speak English in my mind. The reason why I try to integrate the English language into my thoughts and my writing more is because I feel like it’s better to practice the language every day. I think sooner or later, English will be everybody’s primary language on Earth. Why? because it’s already a standard nowadays, to communicate with anyone internationally, English is usually the way to go. I’m not going to tell the English people or American people have the advantage, they do have to learn less but for us, who see English as a secondary language, it is always beneficial to know more than one language, it’s simply good for your brain. I think I read a report somewhere saying that people who study foreign languages and are fluent live longer lives. Also, I do believe that having to know more than one language gives you access to a wider range of information, therefore your view of life is going to be wider as having more angles as well.
Anyway, the reason why I choose A&W for my breakfast is that today I do not feel like cooking, I want to dine out once or twice a week, simply because I want to have a bit of diversity in my diet. Usually, when I am at home, I only cook steak, or chicken (dark meat), the way I cook the proteins is usually by steering them on a pan. I mean, to be frank, staying at home and eating at home is usually more economical and the taste is actually the same as going to a restaurant, especially a fast food chain one. But I like the experience of going out, breathing some air outdoors, and relaxing my eyes. It is always good to experience blue skies and green grasses. It’s a rare occasion nowadays for people to actually enjoy the nature and simplicity of life. We are spending too much time in front of pixels screen and that’s not good at all. I mean information technologies are crucial in our lives and it’s going to be a part of human lives for decades ahead but you see, we still, biologically human, we still need basic survival needs like food, drink, sleep, clothes, exercises and so on.
I mean in the future, things like neural links (from Elon Musk) could be a thing, once we integrate AI and machines into our bodies and our brains, it could become a more natural way of living alongside the technologies. I was information can be just there for us without having to open the laptop, browsing by using mouse and keyboard all the time. It’s almost a perfect world where information is accessible to us anywhere, anytime without us having any actions using our hands or eyes, we want to control things in this world remotely using purely our brain, right? I think it would be huge if we could control a robot to do work for us at the factory without us having to stand there. Speaking about robots, I see BMW recently produced Figure 1 for their factory. I mean factories like the Tesla Giga factory already automate their production chain with their robot arms, but humanoid robots like Figure 1 are definitely a lot more flexible in terms of movements and activities. You see, the human body, especially its hands and fingers is incredibly flexible. It can do many works that right now robots cannot do, yet. Just look at your hands while typing on a computer or on a mobile screen, and see how accurate and fast it is?
Anyway, back to my situation right now, I think I can start ordering my food in the next 8 minutes, once I finish my meal, my plan is to go to the gym and do some work at the lounge, I will order some coffee and have at least 2 hours of rest (while working) before start doing any lift. It’s good for my stomach to not lift right away after food and it’s good for my muscles to have some kind of energy intake for a few hours. Lifting while fasting is definitely risky, I mean it’s doable but fueling it with gasoline is much better than diesel.
