It’s the first time ever in Canada that I experienced so much rain throughout the week. It’s mid-July and I thought the spring was over because normally it only rains often during spring. My goal today is to practice more of using monitoring tools. One of the primary skills of DevOps, besides automated build and deployment and improving code qualities, is that visibility of the system is very important too. It’s a challenge to monitor all applications since you have to learn how to convert from logs to metrics and from metrics to dashboards and alerts. If open source is well formal and the document is well written as public clouds like Google Cloud or AWS, then life would be much easier.
Speaking about the rain, because the rain is heavy and it’s actually a storm outside of the window, I cannot go to the gym for three days now. I still do intermittent fasting though, so not going to the gym will not affect much of my weight loss progress. Of course, I am afraid of losing muscles and strength, but to be honest, my primary goal is not really about losing fat, of course, it’s important, but losing weight is now more of the output I’m looking for. As long as I’m in the right weight range, I can tune my body later with buff and cut phases, you know, we must set a bodyweight limit, then you can decide to eat more and train more or cutting like change your diet to a lean diet with a lot of protein for muscle gain and fat loss. But for now, all I think about is to hit the 70KG mark. Of course, I will then look tiny but tiny is actually healthy. It’s about the height of a person who would decide how much weight he should have. I’m currently 172 cm, not a tall guy at all so 70kg is a perfect healthy weight. By simply going down to 70 weight, even without any exercising or weight lifting, my body fat would automatically go down to 20%, and if I add strength training, like I’m doing right now, the number could be 16%, and if I improve my protein intake and increase the load in strength training, it could even go down to 12% or 10%, but of course, I hate chicken breast and I want to eat carbs because I want a sustainable diet and lifestyle, I used to have huge result back in 2020 by limit carbs intake and improve protein intake, and I have some visible packs back then.

Today I’ve officially hit 74 mark but my pack is not visible at all lol. Of course, I do have a skinny weight, it’s amazing how my body transformed by losing 12 KG in just 4 months. I’m not confident to show my pics yet, but sooner or later, once I reach my 70KG I will post my result here on my website.
Anyways, back to work now, just a quick update on some thoughts of today.
