Today I eat the remaining food in the fridge, I am getting close to getting rid of all the food that I bought a few weeks ago. Most of my foods can be put in the freezer because of that the lifespan of the groceries is pretty long and they won’t be spoiled for many weeks to come. I decided to go cheap and save money on groceries, I will only buy new groceries when all the food is fully consumed. Therefore with my calculation, I will finish off the dim sum, the beef, the chicken breast, the tater tots, the broccoli, and the shrimp by the end of this week. Then next week I can finally start a new rotation of groceries, and fill the fridge with delicious nutritious food. I will tell you what is my grocery plan by the end of this week. But just in case you are curious, I am thinking about going back to pork sausages, burger patties, English muffins, bagels, strawberry jams, Jello-O jelly, etc. I miss these guys. I also plan to add new items that I have never tried before to my basket, which are the turkey ham, fish fillets, grounded beef, etc. I was thinking about buying pork too, but for some reason, I started to prefer Halal food despite the fact that I was never related to Muslims. I just feel the Halal food is definitely clean and good hygiene. I might be a vegan who knows? does vegan is actually different from vegetarian? Meats are dirty for sure, and you likely to get sick from meat than from vegetables for sure. But hey, it’s tasty and nutritious, right? This rotation will keep me full for at least 2 weeks. For the carbs, besides English muffins and the bagels, I already have white rice and oatmeal. I mean it’s simply about making me a bit more excited about going to the kitchen, you know, I was fasting recently for too long just because I am bored with the kitchen now, there is nothing much to eat because the diversity of the food is too little, it simply made bored with eating. And I do need to eat because eating is one part of happiness, as long as we make sure to keep the calories in check then we will be fine. Life must be balanced anyway.

After cooking the rice for 3 days, I often cook just enough for a maximum of 3 days. I also, make some dim-sum with spicy chili oil with soy sauce, and it tastes delicious. I emptied all the trash baskets and reused the plastic bags, I am not sure if I’m being too frugal or not, but you know, the plastic bag looks like reusable, therefore I keep the bags. And of course, no one is asking me to do the trash, it’s just me feeling the habit of tidying things up whenever possible, of course, I am not going to do this excessively, I will clean things when I feel like it, no pressure, just do it as a hobby and be happy.

After all the cooking and the chores, I was going to the gym, and I saw the cracked roads, not sure why I started noticing it. Canada’s infrastructure is definitely imperfect, the road quality isn’t that good since there are cracks everywhere. Today is a sweaty day too, the spring is getting warmer, a lot warmer, and I feel like I no longer need to wear a jacket when going outside. I mean this is significantly different from a few days ago when it was raining and cool. The gym is very crowded today too, and it’s similar to Vietnam, where it is filled with people after 5 PM. I guess people prefer to go to the gym right after work. The only time in the day that the gym is less crowded is around lunchtime at 12 PM or very early in the morning like 5 or 6 AM. I’m not sure about the gym status between 7 to 11 AM because I was kind of busy during that time. People are usually using the phone while resting for the next set. Canadians seem to be not very tall at all, except for a few black and white guys. Asians like East and South Asians are not very tall at all, we are small. It was my first time seeing a guy squatting up to 200 KG, what a beast, this guy is a white fat guy, he’s so strong, he lifts twice as much as mine. I saw a Vietnamese guy too, along with a seemingly Chinese or Korean guy, I think the South Vietnamese are more Westernized compared to North Vietnamese, Korean, and Chinese. I also see a guy from Goodlife gym moving here as well, he’s a big tall white guy, not sure why he decided to move from a bigger gym to such a small gym like this. The reason why I know this guy was working out in Goodlife gym is because he has a Goodlife gym bag. I see an Indian dad who paid for her daughter to work with the Personal Trainer, I think every newbie will always spend a fortune on instructors. Speaking about the instructors, I feel like they are all sensitive as hell, their self-esteem is skyrocketing and it seems like they always want to be really respected. I mean I am speaking about the car driving instructors and the Tennis instructors, they are different from University instructors. There was a black guy using huge 2-litre bottles, not sure why he needed to use such a huge bottle like that. I used to think about getting that kind of big bottle like 9 years ago when I started knowing about gym supplementation. But as long as I can refill my bottle then I am good, right? I don’t want to keep a large chunk of water then it goes stale, and also if we want to mix some preworkout and BCAA and whey we would prefer a small amount of water to dissolve and consume them. Drinking too much water during and after gym sessions will not bring any further benefits and it just simply makes you pee more.

Today is my chest’s day, I did a heavy barbell press then the dumbbell press. I don’t use AirPods these days anymore, I start to feel like I am already allergic to listening to music. I used to listen to music a lot back when I was in Vietnam, and my emotions were on a roller coaster all the time. All that Lo-fi (low-feeling) music stuff is just boring as hell. I don’t feel sad or happy or anything when listen to music anymore, I have been immune to music already. Besides, using AirPods during workouts is not very comfortable since you’re sweating a lot, and I don’t like having my sweats stuck in the ears. My workout today was low in weight also because I have wrist pain, also not sure why I have wrist pain, maybe due to a mistake during a Tennis drill. I usually clean up the seat and the weights after use and use sanitizer plenty.
I think that pretty much sums up a day of mine. Nothing much, just go the gym, then stay at home, then do some work and sleep.
