Cambodia – Thailand border dispute

A small piece of land can cause bloodshed. See, a square meter, to have the privilege of living in the center of Hanoi is equivalent to a year of labor for an average Vietnamese. Not alone, an area around the border can be permanently belong to a nation. I personally think that for every piece of land that we have today had to trade with our ancestors’ blood. Many people have failed to keep this land of “S” shape intact. I am a Vietnamese, and the predecessor of these fallen warriors, and I’m grateful for what I have today: a beautiful country, united and peaceful, and has a bright future.

Yet, I see on the internet, many people showing negative thoughts, they are trying to interrupt peace and break the people’s union. Vietnamese people are smart and love their country; they won’t fall for that trap, and they will never forget their identity, their history. They love peace and to keep this peace, they know that they need to grow stronger, more developed, and always united. Whereas you live in the South or in the North, we’re a single solid piece, same blood, same ADN, same ancestors, nothing can separate us from that fact.

Nevertheless, the evil force keeps trying to divide between North and South; they want the Southerners to have a negative thought of the Northerners. Cambodians also have many people who are against the Vietnamese people, a foreign evil force that attempts to convert the Vietnamese people to lose their belief in their government and regime. The war is long-lasting; it has never ended. For each Vietnamese is a warrior themselves, to educate themself, to know that any negative thought online, or propaganda to make people hate each other are lies and pure evil, we should be smart enough to know what is bad and good. If you see whatever news that contains hate or discrimination, let’s ignore anything that makes you feel like you want to hate someone.

I have met people around regions, and I have met people from Miền Tây to Miền Núi Tây Bắc; they are all beautiful people. I meet people in Hanoi or HCMC (Saigon), and they are all Vietnamese just like me. We speak the same language, and we care about family and building wealth. Despite the fact that Vietnam’s two largest cities are quite distant from one another, just like Shenzhen and Shanghai and Beijing, cities are distant apart, so they have unique cultures and differences, but still, we are one country and we are happy to see the diversity within our little S-shaped nation.

This post is supposed to speak about Cambodia and Thailand, but I provide Vietnam as a sample so both countries can adopt and follow. The history cannot be rewritten, and the future is unwrapping. The Vietnamese regime has been built by the sacrifices of millions of brave people; we remain peaceful today, please keep it the way it is, and do not ruin it. I hope that Cambodia can find a way to fix itself, become more educated, and wealthier. I hope that they can find a peaceful way to work with the Vietnamese people and the Thai to develop further. Economic cooperation is a great idea that China has already provided (Bell & Road). We shouldn’t discriminate and hate against each other but rather find a way to produce goods and services together, be productive, innovate, study, and research more.
